Parents I need your advice and help!!!?
Ok so I'm a new mother and my son is 2 1/2. He's the most sweetest boy but has his moments. He sleeps between my hubby and I every night. I am tryin to get him to sleep in his own bed. His bed is a captains bed and his 8 year old brother sleeps on top and Nathan(my son) sleeps on trundle. Should I put him in his room and shut his door?? Or no.. Towards night time he's so wild. Doesnt want too sleep. Jumping up and down. Hits us and thinks it's funny. Just crazy. I lay him down with us around 9pm and by the time he's done acting wild lol it's about 12:45am. I tried time outs and spanking, which spanking kills me I feel so awful. But he just laughs. Love my little monster he's my world and I just need some advice on how to get him clam. Oh and he doesn't get that much sugar either. Just a very energetic toddler.

Scold him! I know it's tough, but if he acts like this, you need to teach him to listen to you, and that hitting is bad and bedtime is BEDTIME. Be very stern when you talk to him, if you put him in time-out, leave him there until he is calm. When you put him to bed, leave him in there, and if he cries or screams, ignore it. That's how toddlers learn. He'll eventually cry himself to sleep.
I know it's tough, but that's how it has to work, or he'll just be worse when he's older, and then better.
