how to install solid wood baseboard moulding?
i am replacing my white fake moulding with solid oak base and crown. I have tried using wood filler to make the seems look better but it does not stain the same color so it looks worse. does anyone know what to do or do you normally just leave the seems.
The best finish comes from coping the joint. May be too late for that now. You could also try mixing the satin with the wood putty before you apply it.
