I found a bed set made with MDF and veneer wood, is that a good bed to buy then? or is it not going to hold?

MDF is common in bargain to mid-priced furniture. It is OK unless soaked by a flood, which would cause it to swell and become soft. Veneer can be a thin sheet of expensive wood glued over a base, or it can be a thin sheet of plastic laminate made to look like wood. The materials should be fine for this use. If the price includes every furniture piece in the picture it seems reasonable.
