Platform Bed Slat
A look at what is currently available on eBay

How can I fix my bed? Sailors, engineers and other experts humor me...?
It is a platform bed with a rectangle frame. Between the two sides of the bed, there are about 15 slats that go across where I put the mattress. The problem is that the two long sides of the frame have started to warp away from one another--I can push them back toward each other, but the wood is warped and they spring back, so the middle slats fall through. I'm wondering how to tie them together--with traction/tension--(aesthetics don't matter) so the slats won't fall through. I'm thinking of using a rope and knots--I can tie sailor knots, but don't know what design to use. Also, what is a non-stretch rope?
Meddlerus--how did you secure the wire? By twisting it?
I would screw 1 slat(in the midle) on both ends this will keep side rail in place
