How do I keep our bedroom from being too girly?
I am a newlywed and I have been trying to decorate our bedroom so it is more romantic. I don't want it to be too girly but it shouldn't look like a single guy lives there. We live in a rental so we can't paint - the walls are white.
In the room now we have the queen bed, one dresser, three chests of drawers, and a decent sized closet. There isn't much room for more than that! On the wall we are putting a country style photo that hung over his parent's bed. I also have my wedding bouquet dried on the chest near my dresser with pretty frames and crystal. We have a tan bedspread and neutral carpet.
What can I put on his chest of drawers on his side of the bed that says masculine without being messy? Other ideas for decorating?
Try to stay with your neutral colors, tan's off white, beigh, ecru, light brn, burgandy.
Use a lot of texture, textured pillows on the bed, maybe a weaving of some type on the wall, pick up some of the color's in the country picture you have on the wall.
on his dresser, use wood jewelry holder for keys etc, a candle always looks good.
