Punk Rock Bedroom for Twins?
Alright, my twin and I are going to be painting our bedroom. (I chose the colors of the wall) Our walls are going to be a kinda medium dark pink with random words in black all over the walls. But other then that, i need ideas for our room. It can't be to cluttered cuz we've already got a tv,(a tv stand....ok, we've got two tv stands, but I use one for books), a dresser, amd a desk in our room. We also have separate beds cuz i room wasn't tall enough for a ceiling fan and bunk beds. We've got two windows so we plan on getting curtains. But what kind of bedding and curtains should we get? and sense we're painting our beds (cuz they're wood anyway) should we add anything onto them? Pics of examples that we can get idea's from would be awsome!
forgot to mention this. WE ARE BOTH GIRLS!! so I don't really want it turning out too boyish (although my sister really likes boy stuff, so a few boy things wouldn't be to bad). But I'm also not super girly. DX I'm just girlier then my sister.
Spray paint and odd objects can be your best friends when it comes to giving furniture a make out. I tried this cool technique on a coffee table in my house, I sprayed it with black spray paint, then I took a old (it was either a old wide lace pattern curtain or table clothe) I put it over the table and misted lightly with another color, for instance, I used a super fine gold metalic spray pain. Turned out AWESOME and feminine and the spray paint gave it a full proof and rough finish. Flat black is always amazing on furniture, and if you are having storage solutions problems...Go to a local convenience store and ask them for some milk crates. Paint them with spray paint your desired color, and you can use them to sort shoes, store books (to free up that display space) and organize your stuff. Try painting part of a wall or door with chalk board paint, so you could write reminders, or your friends could leave a note. Use old painted cookie sheets screwed to the walls and get cute magnets to hang up pictures and other things.
